"So, when are you having children?" is not a simple question, but rather a part of our cultural heritage. It is Aunt Daiva's favorite joke, your parents' biggest headache, and the last reflection of your independent life.
Aistė (G. Glemžaitė) is a 30-year-old wedding planner who hates weddings. Marius (Repšys) is a 38-year-old electrician. A kind and humble, but not particularly attractive man. The couple rents a cramped apartment in Vilnius's Old Town, which is actually a bit too expensive for them. Life is not particularly generous, but it certainly does not mistreat them either – they have everything they need, but something seems to be missing. The clock is ticking. It is unclear who is more anxious – the couple or Aistė's family. It seems that everyone has only one question on their minds: will we have those little ones or not?
The play explores a situation that is familiar to many couples, and one that many will recognize in themselves. Can two people live happily without children? Is it possible to experience the "great joy of life" without children? Or is it time to give in to pressure and try? If so, is it time to get married and swear eternal love?
The comedy is directed by Dainius Kazlauskas, who has created many successful works in theater and cinema. The producers of "When Will We Have Children?" promise viewers sharp humor, unexpected and familiar plot twists, an intriguing ending, and an excellent soundtrack.
