The Saulė Concert Hall in Šiauliai presents MUSIC FOR EVERYONE
The tradition of big bands in Lithuania dates back to the 1940s, when they performed popular music of the time, known as estrada. From 1940, this music became very popular, and big bands were its main performers. Today, estrada music is a thing of the past, but contemporary popular music is finding a new and beautiful sound on stage with big bands.
The Senjorų big band, formed in Šiauliai in 2002, started the big band tradition, which is now continued by the Šiauliai big band – one of the strongest ensembles in Lithuania, famous for its exceptional group of saxophonists.
The face of this evening – VILIJA
A bright and charismatic performer, known to viewers from reality shows and various television projects, she can now be seen on the theater stage and on film sets. Vilija stands out with her powerful voice, artistry, and direct communication, and this time she is bringing a program to Šiauliai that combines her original work with songs that are familiar to everyone.
The program will feature the most popular melodies – from "Juodos orchidėjos" to "Heroes," as well as "Proud Mary," "Rolling in the Deep," "Valerie," "Mas que nada," "At last," "Make me better," "Think of You," "Attention," "Keep it to the beat," and "Kas gali būti geriau" (What Could Be Better).
