The rock opera Priesaika (The Oath) is a new wave of patriotism in the Lithuanian music scene, bringing together rock musicians and famous opera soloists in a joint creative project. This story is about partisans who left their homes in the post-war years and retreated to the forest to fight for what was most precious to them. They also loved, laughed, were full of hope, were sensitive to pain and sorrow, but they differed from everyone else in that they had a particularly noble goal in their lives, for which we should all be grateful. What did they talk about? What did they love? Did they believe in their victory? Were they afraid of death? Did the oath they took mean something worth sacrificing their lives for? Only their memories can answer these questions, and it is on the basis of these memories that the rock opera "The Oath" was created.  It is a work about real people, the real fates of their lives, about those who gave us a free and independent homeland. A teacher, a priest, a student, a courier – these characters will allow us to get to know the Partisans, who believed fervently in their hearts that their struggle would not be in vain.
